Your Trusted Source for Plumbing Installation

Are you building a new property and want to equip it with a high-quality plumbing system? Do you live in an older home with plumbing fixtures that are due for an upgrade? No matter your reason for plumbing installation services, we have your back.

At Mullen Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling, we have the tools and expertise to put any vital fixture in your home, including:

  • Sinks/Faucets
  • Toilets
  • Water heaters
  • Water and sewage pipes
  • Backflow prevention devices

Replacing faulty equipment can significantly improve your home’s efficiency and prevent common plumbing issues. For example, after drain pipe installation you won’t have to worry about water backing up and frequent clogs due to a buildup of minerals inside the old pipe. Services like toilet and faucet installation can also make simple tasks like washing dishes or flushing the toilet seamless.

The Benefits of Upgrading Your Plumbing Equipment

As a leader in residential plumbing installation and repair services, we help homeowners like you get the most out of their plumbing systems. Upgrading faulty or outdated fixtures can provide ample benefits, including:

  • Lower water bills: Low-flow toilet installation gives you a powerful flush without using as many gallons of water while pipe replacement services can address leaks that waste water.
  • Improved water quality: Say you have corroded pipes that need replacing. Hard metals and other substances can contaminate your water supply until you replace the pipe.
  • Reduced risk of water damage: Outdated fixtures like pipes or water heaters can leak and cause extensive water damage throughout your home. Replacing them before this happens protects your home and your belongings.
  • Improved aesthetics: If you’re undergoing a kitchen or bathroom renovation, replacing outdated sinks, faucets, and toilets will give your space a modern appeal.
  • Peace of mind: Enjoy knowing that your brand-new plumbing equipment won’t fail thanks to our superior workmanship.

We don’t just install new plumbing equipment. Our team is available 24 hours a day for emergency repair services as well, including water line repair, drain cleaning, and more. Give us a call if you experience any of the following issues with your plumbing system:

  • Unexplained spikes in your water bills: You could have a hidden leak somewhere in your system, such as near your home’s foundation. Our leak repair services prevent excess water from coming into your home.
  • Clogged drains: When multiple drains begin to drain slowly or back up water, you could have a damaged sewer line that needs immediate attention.
  • Foul odors from drains: Another common sign of a sewer line issue is that you might begin to smell sewage from your toilet, sink, and shower drains.
  • Strange noises: Contact us for plumbing installation and repair if you hear loud noises coming from your water heater, gurgling sounds from your drains, or the faint sound of running water behind your walls.

Plumbing FAQs

How can I prevent frozen pipes in the winter?

Customer: “I’m worried about my pipes freezing this winter. Any tips on how to prevent that?”

Mullen Tech: “Yeah, it’s definitely something we see a lot around here, especially with those cold West Virginia winters. The key is to keep the pipes in unheated areas—like your attic, basement, or crawl space—insulated. You can pick up foam pipe insulation at most hardware stores. Also, check around your windows and doors for any drafts. If there are gaps, seal them up—just little things like that can make a big difference. Oh, and don’t forget about your faucets! When it gets really cold, let them drip a little overnight to keep the water moving and prevent freezing. And, if you have sinks against exterior walls, leave the cabinet doors open to let warm air circulate around the pipes.”

Customer: “I didn’t realize it was that simple. I’ll get on that, thanks!”

Mullen Tech: “No problem! It’s just a few small steps to keep everything running smoothly through the winter. If you are facing any further issues, give us a call today!

Why is my water pressure low?

Customer: “I’ve noticed the water pressure in my shower’s been pretty low lately. Any idea what could be causing that?”

Mullen Tech: “Ah, low water pressure—always a bit frustrating. There are a few things it could be. Sometimes it’s as simple as a clogged showerhead or aerator. But if it’s affecting multiple fixtures, it could be something more serious, like mineral buildup in your pipes, especially since we get hard water in this area. Another possibility is a faulty pressure regulator. And, of course, it could be leaks somewhere in the system—those can be tricky to spot, but they’ll definitely impact pressure. If it’s just one fixture, I’d check the aerator first, but if it’s across the house, I’d recommend having the whole system checked out.”

Customer: “I’ll check the showerhead first and go from there. Thanks for the tips!”

Mullen Tech: “Anytime! If you need a hand figuring it out, don’t hesitate to call me back.

What should I do if my water heater isn’t working?

Customer: “My water heater’s been acting up—no hot water or it’s inconsistent. What should I check first?”

Mullen Tech: “I totally get the frustration there—cold showers are no fun! First thing I’d recommend is checking the thermostat and making sure it’s set to the right temperature. If that looks good, check the circuit breaker to make sure it’s not tripped. If everything seems fine there, take a look at the pilot light—it’s a common issue. If it’s out, you can try relighting it yourself, but if that doesn’t do the trick, there could be a bigger issue, like a faulty heating element or a buildup of sediment in the tank, which is pretty common in older units. If it’s one of those, I’d suggest giving us a call to have a professional take a look.”

Customer: “I’ll give the thermostat and breaker a try and see if I can relight the pilot. If that doesn’t work, I’ll call you.”

Mullen Tech: “Sounds like a plan! Hopefully it’s an easy fix, but we’re here if you need us.”
